Pomodoro Cat Timer

Meet your study buddy. This Pomodoro cat timer puts a cat on screen while you work. Pet it, choose between Hades and Menelaus, and watch it react: it settles into its box while you focus, celebrates when a session finishes and purrs during your break.

Under the cat is a full 25-minute Pomodoro timer with breaks, a task list, backgrounds and a fullscreen clean view. It is free and runs in your browser.

How to use the Pomodoro Cat Timer

  1. Pick your cat: Hades (black) or Menelaus (white). Click the cat any time to pet it.
  2. Press start for a 25-minute focus session. Your cat will stay quiet in its box while you work.
  3. When the alarm rings, take a break. Your cat purrs while you rest.
  4. Want a cat that grows as you study? In the full app, study pets level up with every Pomodoro you finish, and Premium unlocks Hades and Menelaus.

Why a study cat helps you focus

A companion on screen works a little like body doubling, the ADHD-friendly habit of working next to someone else. It is easier to stay on task when something is quietly "with you". A cute cat also makes opening the timer feel like a reward instead of a chore, and that is often the hardest part of studying.

In the full Cram & Conquer app your study pet is tied to your progress. Each finished Pomodoro helps it grow. It is the same idea that made Forest popular, just fluffier.

Pomodoro cat vs. other cat timers

Many "cat timers" are a static picture next to a clock. Here the cat is animated, reacts to the state of your timer and responds when you pet it. You can also combine it with the rest of Cram & Conquer, such as music, group sessions with friends and a leaderboard.
