Cram & Conquer
1 Hour Timer
A free 1 hour timer you can start in one click. Use it for a 60 minute study block, timed practice questions, a revision session or any task you want to box into an hour.
The countdown keeps running in the background if you switch tabs, and an alarm tells you when the hour is up.
How to use the 1 Hour Timer
- Press start. The timer is set to 60 minutes.
- Decide what you will finish in this hour before you begin.
- When the alarm rings, take a 10 to 15 minute break before the next hour.
Making a 60 minute study session count
An hour is long enough that your attention will drift at some point. Plan for it: write a one-line goal for the hour ("finish questions 1–12", "outline the essay") and check it off when the alarm rings. A clear goal turns a vague hour of studying into a measurable one.
If you struggle to stay focused for a full hour, split it into two 25 minute Pomodoros with a 5 minute break between them, or use the 50/10 timer.
Frequently asked questions
Can I pause the 1 hour timer?
You can leave a session early with the Leave Early button. The timer is designed for continuous focus, so a fresh session is usually better than pausing.
Will the timer keep going in another tab?
Yes. The countdown runs in a background worker and stays accurate.
Can I change it to 45 or 90 minutes?
Yes. Press the Time button to set any length up to 240 minutes.
