25 Minute Timer

A simple 25 minute timer that starts with one click. Twenty-five minutes is the length of one classic Pomodoro: long enough to make real progress, and short enough that starting never feels like a big commitment.

Go fullscreen for a clean countdown, choose a background, and an alarm will tell you when time is up. After it rings you can start a short break straight away.

How to use the 25 Minute Timer

  1. Press start. The timer is already set to 25 minutes.
  2. Focus on one task until the alarm rings.
  3. Choose a short break of 5 minutes, or start another 25 minutes.

What you can do in 25 minutes

Twenty-five minutes is enough to review a lecture, finish a problem set section, write 300 to 500 words of an essay, or work through a deck of flashcards. Short, timed blocks also help with procrastination: committing to 25 minutes is easy, and once you start, keeping going is easier.

Stringing four 25 minute timers together with short breaks gives you a Pomodoro set, which is about two hours of solid work.
